Improvements in link submission

September 27th, 2007 | by FilesTube.team |

Hi,

Just a quick note about changes in link submission. Now you can submit each of your links with appropriate password for extracting protected files (if needed).

Currently the system accepts links from the following file sharing sites:

  • rapidshare.com
  • megaupload.com
  • megashares.com
  • yousendit.com
  • savefile.com
  • filefront.com
  • badongo.com

Just as before, you can also submit your RapidShare user ID.

If you know or own a site with tones of useful links, please share it with us. We’ll be happy to crawl it :)

    Hi Filestube Team,

thanks for this great search engine! But unfortunately, many archives are password protected. The password is in many cases the name of the site where they have been first published or can be found there at least. The “search for password” function does not help since many of these sites are not in the google index (which makes your engine more valuable). Could you please publish a link to the site, where your crawler found that RapidShare link?
This would help a lot !

    Hello,

Thanks for your comment. In fact, the encrypted archives problem is being addressed for some time now and a functionality similar to your suggestion should be presented soon.

Just found this site btw, it pwnz :D (was trying to find a manga I lost >_>;)

Anyway, the password thing would definitely help, because many manga that are posted on image boards have passwords.

One problem about linking back to the page for the password, if it’s an imageboard (4chan, etc.) the post may be gone. Maybe a way to possibly cache the page? (html would probably be all you’d need since you’d be looking in the text)
